Unhealthy for some groups
Canadian wildfires bring bad air quality to U.S.

The same wildfire that has prompted the evacuation of over 25,000 people in Canada is causing problems for northern states, bringing hazy skies and poor air quality.

The wildfires burn in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, but the winds bring smoke across the Upper Midwest and even travel as far south as the Gulf and East Coast. Air quality is quickly becoming unhealthy for cities like Chicago, Nashville, Cincinnati, and even Atlanta. Our air quality index shows values becoming unhealthy or very unhealthy on Tuesday for the Carolinas.
